Spring Fever Fest at Natural Bridge Caverns
Spring Fever Fest is ready to kick your spring into high gear at Natural Bridge Caverns starting March 29th. The month-long celebration will feature live music, free games for kids, educational displays on pollinators and native plants, seed giveaways, crafts, a free hay maze, and more. In addition, each weekend the Caverns will add a slate of free workshops and presentations on how to put more spring in your season. All activities – including the workshops - are free!
The festival is focused on fun. The free event will connect guests with nature along with opportunities to learn everything from potting succulents to tips on identifying native Texas plants. Spring Fever Fest takes place every weekend, from 11 am to 3 pm, March 29th through April 19th.
“Spring is a great time of year at Natural Bridge Caverns,” said Joye Wuest, CFO and co-owner. “Our hope is to have families and friends gather and experience the return of the blooms, pollinators, and birds here at the Caverns.”
Long recognized for their efforts to fill the park with native plants that support pollinators, the team at Natural Bridge Caverns is planning a whole host of additional bonus activities each weekend of Spring Fever Fest including:
March 29 & 30 – Be a Bird Buddy! Learn how to make hummingbird nectar, build and maintain bird feeders, and even how to make a butterfly puddler.
April 5 & 6 – Time to Pot. From succulents to herbs to natives, our landscape team will be on hand to teach you how to pot – including the right soil mix for each plant.
April 12 & 13 – Walking Tours. Our landscape team has new designated areas with native plantings and will be offering free guided tours to showcase these Texas locals.
April 19 – Easter Egg Hunt with a Bat! Move aside, Easter Bunny, the Easter Batty is here! Join in the fun with our very own Easter Bat who has scattered eggs all around the meadow.
