Take 2024 water fun to the next level with new play area, Fast Lane passes, dining options and more
Schlitterbahn Waterpark and Resort in New Braunfels continues to reign as the World’s Best Waterpark, a title it’s held for a remarkable 25 years in a row.
With a thrilling array of rides, attractions, waterslides and pools ranging from the mild to the wild, there’s an adventure for everyone within the park’s sprawling 70 acres.
This year, Schlitterbahn has added several new updates, giving visitors even more reasons to love the park. Check out the Bahn’s latest additions to make your next visit the best one yet!
Schatze’s Storybrook Park, an all-new attraction for kids
Just in time for summer, Schlitterbahn has opened a new area just for kids in the park’s West section. With the opening of Schatze’s Storybrook Park, families with younger children have a new world to explore.
Named for Schlitterbahn’s dachshund mascot, Schatze, and featuring puppy-themed attractions, Schatze’s Storybrook Park’s signature ride is the Bow Wow Blaster, a kid-sized version of the park’s famed Master Blaster water coaster. Unlike a traditional slide, blasters propel riders up and down throughout the ride. With a lower height limit and tubes that accommodate both kids and parents, it’s the first kid-sized water coaster in the world, according to park officials.
Other thrills inside this new kid area include the Fur-Bidden Forest, a magical area with tree-shaped water slides and a gigantic tipping water bucket, with lots of places to crawl, climb and get soaked. Schatze’s Paw’nd features three new body slides for the younger set, with a shallow “paw’nd” at the end of each with room to splish and splash. The Fairy Tail Trail includes play fountains and toddler-friendly slides nestled within a shady grove.
New Dining Passes
One of the great things about Schlitterbahn is that families can bring their own coolers with food and drinks. But equally enticing are the new Dining Pass options that allow you to pay in advance and eat for a meal, an entire day, or multiple times throughout every day you’re therethis summer. Dining passes are now available online and offer choices including grilled chicken sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, pizza, BBQ and salads.
Skip the wait with a Fast Lane Pass
The Bahn’s new Fast Lane passes allow you to wait less and slide more! This date-specific pass entitles you to skip the regular line on 11 of the park’s most popular attractions, including the Falls, Wolfpack and Hillside. Fast Lane Unlimited is also available for unlimited rides on each of the 11 attractions on the day of your visit.
Stay, play and save
When you stay in one of the lodging options within the Resort at Schlitterbahn, you not only wake up near a waterpark, but you also enjoy other great time and money-saving benefits.
The resort offers packages that combine tickets and overnight accommodations that can save as much as 40 percent per guest.
Staying at the resort offers additional benefits, including the chance to enter the Blastenhoff section of the park an hour before it opens to the public. Resort guests can also take advantage of nightly movies under the stars and three resort pools, as well as a complimentary shuttle service that takes visitors to all areas of the waterpark.
Schlitterbahn offers seven types of lodging options, from motel-style rooms to treehouse-inspired suites and five-bedroom vacation homes, with something for every budget.
A summer tradition since 1979
While there are plenty of new things to love about Schlitterbahn, one of the best things is that it remains true to its roots: offering visitors of all ages a refreshing variety of ways to cool off and have fun. Perched on the banks of the Comal River, many of the park’s guests grew up visiting Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels and now bring their own families to create new memories of summer days spent splashing, sliding and playing in the water.
