8th Annual Dos Rios Watershed Cleanup

Join us to help keep our beautiful waterways clean and free of litter on Saturday, October 12th for the 8th Annual Dos Rios Watershed Cleanup!

Event Information

Volunteers will arrive at Event Headquarters at Prince Solms Park to receive breakfast, clean-up supplies, and a participation gift before leaving to the cleanup locations. Clean up locations include city parks and greenspaces but participants may suggest another location. Each clean-up location will have dumpsters for trash bag collection and participants may leave or stay once clean-up activities are finished. City staff will collect the bags of litter and ensure that they are disposed of properly. Wearing long pants and close-toed shoes are encouraged as well as sunscreen, bug spray, etc. The event will be held rain or shine.

Picking up Litter on the Guadalupe and Comal Rivers

Are you interested in paddling a raft or using a stand up paddle board to pick up litter in the river? Opportunities are available for groups to use a river raft or SUP for the Dos Rios event. For rafting volunteer opportunities, contact Phillip Quast by email or calling 830-221-4651.
